Bill Nunn - Like Nunn Other

Bill Nunn has been a primo choice for a standup supporting black character in films for many years. His most notable turns are in films like "Sister Act', "SpiderMan", "Regarding Henry" and who could forget his unforgetable turn as Radio Raheim in "Do the Right Thing." Acting chops aside, Bill Nunn is a quite the good looking guy.

A Morehouse college alum and well respected in the industry, Bill Nunn is the real deal. Also, very straight and married.

But that won't stop me from saluting him in this blog. Cheers Bill.

Damien Holt- Some Porn Star Love

Not a bear, nor chubby, but nice to look at all the same. I personally enjoyed his work in films such as "Afterparty" and in "Manhole 2". I think he is both good looking and a great performer. He seems to geninuely enjoy his scenes. I get a little annoyed by actors who look disconnected in their films.

Damien, I am sure you prefer the muscular, smooth types but hey, if you ever want to go bear. I am sure you'd do just fine.

Mr. Page Kennedy

Page Kennedy has created a name for himself in Hollywood by playing rough around the edges, but overall, likable characters. His most memorable turn was that of the character, U-Turn in the series Weeds. He briefly appeared in the series "Desperate Housewifes" but was let out of his contract reportedly due to improper conduct on the set (which Kennedy strongly denies ever happened, his take is that the producers "wanted to go in a different direction"). Hopefully, he has learned from his mistakes (be them innocent or not) and his brilliant work as an actor will speak for itself. I see great things in this actor's future.

Another reason to like him: his hilarious portrayal of a gay gang member who is in love with a rival Mexican gang member on the recently-canceled "My Name is Earl." In the episode, his character commands his lover to squeeze his buttocks. LOL

Oh B. Pumper...

This is not a typical post but porn star/rapper?, B. Pumper decided to release a diss song for Rick Ross. I guess Ross suggested (in one of his raps) that B. Pumper has done gay porn, (probably referring to those photoshopped B. Pumper gay porn pictures circulating the net). So in an attempt to defend his manhood, Pumper has come up with this...

Nobody ever has accused B. Pumper of being a lyrical genius, but damn this is a mess. Throughout the rap, Pumper makes fun of Ross' weight, calling him a "fat whale" and that he has to pay women to sleep with him. At the end of the video, Pumper goes on and on about how fat and disgusting Rick Ross is and that he needs to get a gym membership. *SNAP* A guy obsessing over the weight of another man, hmmm sounds like a queen to me. :P

The Can Do Jock- Dhani Jones

I am not even going to embarrass myself and act like I know anything about football; I don't know beans about it. I just played Madden on PS2 a couple of times, that's it. But this handsome gent plays for the Cincinnati Bengals and stars in his own television series called "Dhani Tackles the Globe" on the travel channel. He also enjoys writing poetry in his free time.

Some might debate his current bear status, but at 6 ft 2 and 235 lbs, he's a musclebear in my book. Even the most purest of bear admirers have to admit that his sexy chubbier days are yet to come (all y'all will be droolin' then). I can't wait until he retires and starts skipping workouts. hehe.

Be sure to check out his show on the Travel Channel.

Throwback Bear - Frankie Faison

Frankie Faison

This beaaauutiful man has been a favorite of mine for a long time. He has played supporting characters in films such as Meet the Browns, White Chicks, The Thomas Crown Affair, and Down to Earth. He is probably best known for his supporting work in Silence of the Lambs, in fact he was the only actor in the original film that reprised his role in all four Hannibal Lector films.

My personal favorite character he played was the foul-mouthed slumlord in Coming to America. Frankie is the epitome of a throwback bear. He has held it down for bearish men of color before it was even in vogue to be an exotic bear. Cheers to you Mr. Faison.

British Cub- Chiwetel Ejiofor

I first discovered this British actor of Nigerian heritage in the film, Talk to me with Don Cheadle. On an artistic level, I thought damn, this guy is a great actor! On a superficial level, however I thought, damn he is handsome. Mr. Ejiofor has the kind of eyes that will get you in trouble. Dude can hypnotize you without even trying.

Aside from Talk to Me, Ejiofor has appeared in films such as Dirty Pretty Things, Children of Men, American Gangster, and Redbelt.

With plenty of crticial acclaim and acting awards under his belt, Ejiofor is destined to become one of our most celebrated actors.

Anybody wanna trade spots with Tim Allen?

Brawlin' Bears

Pictured above is Robert Carnes Jr, he allegedly got into a scuffle with Suge Knight (former CEO of Death Row Records) over the weekend. Word on the street is that Carnes Jr. beat that ass (but I ain't one of the gossips).

I would say something but being a practical man, I'll decline. I am afraid of anybody who could handle Suge Knight in a fight.

I ain't going to say nothin' more than WOOF.

Idol Bears

When wincing through the horrible singers on American Idol be patient... one will eventually find talent. Luckily, we didn't have to wait that long to find it.

Stephen Fowler appears to be an early favorite. He seems to have the calm, polite demeanor of a Ruben Studdard while having major vocal chops. Looks wise, he's as handsome as they come, but ain't feelin the "processed hair" dogg, I will just keep it at that. He sort of reminds me of Carl Anthony Payne II (Cole from Martin). Now if we can get him to remember song lyrics, he could be a contender.

Another contender who caught my eye is Matt Breitzke, one of the two "blue-collar" hopefuls. He is a little bit average on the vocal end of the spectrum, but I think his personality and cute face will push him through (and the support from bear community, he will undoubtedly receive. Note to Matt: do not answer any questions about Prop 8 or any other gay civil rights issues... hehe).

Be sure to catch Idol on Fox!

Bring tha Payne

Carl Anthony Payne II

If you ever stumbled across old reruns of Martin, then I am sure you noticed this cubalicious actor. Sadly, his babyface and overall stature forced him to play goofy sidekick on the television series. He played the role so well, it took years for me to realize how incredibly sexy Mr. Payne actually was (still is).

Side note, these were the best pictures I could find of Mr. Payne. Anybody who has better shots, please drop me a note. LOL
At 5 ft 6, he is the perfect height for any cub lover. I hope this actor gets the vehicle he deserves someday. Until then, you can catch him on the Martin series on DVD.

Chi McBride... my, oh my.

When the topic of "black bears" comes up, Chi McBride's name is rarely mentioned. Why is that? He has played in a number of notable parts, enough for the gays to notice. Anyways, here is Mr. McBride on all his bear glory. He is my pretend friend. hehe. He currently stars in ABC's Pushing Daisies.

Awww, cute even when sad. hehe

Yes... keep on dreaming, chasers. LOL

What Sexy Shakes Like...

One of the most likable rappers in the game, Bone Crusher never disappoints. Here is a video of him shaking all of his lovely, chubby body parts for all their worth.

Does he even know how many big men lovers have probably beaten off to this clip? LOL

Throwback Bear

This former halfback for the Cleveland Browns was a certified sex symbol of the 1970's. Towards the end of his athletic career he starred in various film and television projects, including playing a villian in I Spy. After his football career ended, he went on to star in the film 100 Rifles with Raquel Welch (one of the first films to feature a interracial love scene).

His status as a sex symbol was long established before he shot his Playgirl layout in 1974. But the pictures were definitely icing on the cake.

His more virile days are long behind him, but even at age 73 this daddy could still pull him some play in any bear bar. But I must stress that Mr. Brown is definitely into the ladies. Aside from his physical appearance, Brown has worked hard in social activism. He currently works in Los Angeles helping youth caught in the gang scene. Peep some more of the 1974 Playgirl layout and what Jim Brown looks like today after the cut...

If I were to remake Brokeback Mountain...

Admit it. Wouldn't it had been way more shocking if they had cast two masculine straight Black bears in the cowboy love drama? Truth be told, I don't believe Ice Cube would have played the part. Although Anthony probably would be open to it, let's give him some time.

Both actors are doing well for themselves in the Hollywood game, I wish them both the best.

I would just die if Ice Cube muttered the words "I can't quit you." Haha, it would make a lot of men happy, especially the more closeted aficionados of Black bears out there. I know you're out there. haha

Lebron James on cover of GQ magazine

It looks like they (let's keep it ambiguous) have finally got it right this time. Months after the train wreck that was the Vogue cover, the folks at GQ decided to capture basketball superstar, Lebron James in a way more flattering light. It is nice to see that Black men can actually be photographed without having to emulate some tired stereotype or snarling in a monstrous fashion. Kudos to GQ for keeping it classy. Lebron does look rather dashing. Mmm Hmm.

For comparative purposes, the infamous Vogue Cover below...

I got the Scoop (Fatman Scoop)

This guy seriously tries too hard sometimes. I guess it's just his persona, loud and crass. Nevertheless, he is a sexy guy and not afraid to take his shirt off. I find it assuming that the shirtless swagger that dominates live hip-hop performances even extends to larger framed gents.

He had a dating/sex advice show on Mtv for a quick second, and I mean quick. I knew watching the first episode that it wouldn't catch on. The exchanges between his wife and himself were horribly scripted, and Fatman looked like he could have used at least one more rehearsal. Anyway, to keep things on a positive note, Fatman is very successful on the radio. He is also the go-to guy for a random shouting east coast voice in any hip-hop track.
